Welcome to the Island

Welcome to Islander

A peaceful waterfront estate overlooking Harbour Island

The Grounds

On the waters of Bottom Harbour, overlooking Harbour island, Eleuthera, Islander Estate is set on close to an acre of lush, tropical landscape. Three self contained cottages each with their own shady porch, a waterfront gazebo, hammock, and expansive waterfront lawn are on offer for your relaxation. ALL pictures here are taken of/from the estate!

The Cottages

Islander estate has three small waterfront cottages; you may rent one, two, or all three of them. All cottages are fully independent and feature air conditioning, fan, bathroom with shower, kitchen, safe, and closet space.

Islander Boat Watch Cottage

This is the main cottage on the estate, Perched at the highest point overlooking Bottom Harbour and Harbour Island. It is a one bed, one bath with fully equipped kitchen and a living/dining room. Boat Watch has a covered wraparound porch, where one can always find shade and warm tropical breeze while watching the boats come in and out of the inlet.

Islander Flying Fish Cottage

This is one of two identical studio cottages, located a few steps from the water, overlooking Bottom Harbour and Harbour Island. Flying fish is a studio cottage with high ceilings, a queen sized bed, separate bathroom with shower, small but capable kitchen, and a shady porch to watch the fish jumping in the harbour.

Islander Turtle Peek Cottage

This is one of two identical studio cottages, located closest to the water, overlooking Bottom Harbour and Harbour Island. Turtle Peek is a studio cottage with high ceilings, a queen sized bed, separate bathroom with shower, small but capable kitchen, and a shady porch to watch the turtles "peeking" at you from the harbour.

You didn't come into this world,
you came out of it,
like a wave from the ocean.
You are not a stranger here.

Questions and Answers

Is there a beach on the property?

“Kind of”… There is what we call a “come and go beach” that can be accessed from the steps at the gazebo. At low tide, a tiny little beach is exposed, at high tide it is underwater and a nice place to enter the water from. A six minute walk from the property will bring you to a stunning, large beach, which is on bottom harbour and protected from the prevailing winds.

Can I swim from the property?

Yes! As long as it is calm and/or at your comfort level. There is excellent snorkeling as well. IF the water is rough in front of Islander, the large beach on Bottom Habour is only a six minute walk.

Do you offer Kayaks/paddle boards?

Yes! We keep these on a rack on the Bottom Harbour beach reserve, just a six minute walk – grab a paddle and PFD and head out!

How do we get to Harbour Island?

Harbour Island is a fantastic day trip. There are three ways to get there from Islander: 1) Drive to the “three islands” dock and take a water taxi about (an hour) 2) Call a water taxi to pic you up at the beach reserve (about half an hour) 3) If the weather is nice, take the Kayaks/Paddle boards from the beach rack, about 40 mins (and checkout the turtles and giant starfish on the way!)
